Following her appointment as Chair of the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education, Dame Suzi Leather will step down from the Lankelly Chase Board of Trustees after its October meeting.
Dame Suzi has provided four years of outstanding leadership as Chair of Lankelly Chase. During this time we have refocused our strategy to promote systemic change to improve the lives of people facing severe and multiple disadvantage. She has considerably strengthened Lankelly Chase’s governance, and has championed our journey towards becoming a learning-led change maker. The fruits of these efforts are being seen in the growing influence of our work and that of our partners.
The Board of Trustees and staff team are extremely grateful for the significant service Dame Suzi has devoted to Lankelly Chase’s mission.
Dame Suzi said:
‘I have hugely enjoyed chairing Lankelly Chase. Having independent charitable resources to spend tackling severe and multiple disadvantage is a great and important privilege. Our talented staff and committed trustees all share a passion for that mission and it has been a real pleasure seeing the impact of our work.’
A process will begin in the autumn to identify her successor.
