What I do:
My team and I work hard to try and ensure that service providers hear the voices and the experiences of our service users. My role is to support vulnerable people to develop the confidence to be involved in decision making processes at all levels within the charity, and in external forums.
Something I would like to change in the system:
The current system promotes practices whereby vulnerable people sometimes feel the need to present in crisis, in order to be eligible for the help they desperately need. This is in contrast to those who have a much quieter voice, who can all too often be missed by overstretched services.
