What I do:
I work for the Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service in Canterbury supporting women and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. I also run educational programmes in schools and universities to help young people learn about the early warning signs of an abusive relationship and help them keep safe.
Something I would like to change in the system:
Two areas are standing out for me to tackle. The first is developing an advocacy / support service for women involved in the Civil Court system. The second is to further develop our support services for women, incorporating a more holistic approach in partnership with other agencies.
