Our Sorority

Our Sorority is working with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in the West Midlands to change the way they work with vulnerable women aged 15-25 to ensure that women receiving money from the welfare state are not punished when they fail to turn up for appointments as a result of symptoms resulting from a combination of domestic violence, mental ill health and substance misuse. Lankelly Chase is working with Our Sorority to deliver regular training for all staff within the DWP so that they are able to spot signs of vulnerability in young women and given the tools to deal with this through changing DWP processes and through giving them sufficient information to sign-post young women to other relevant agencies.
