North East Young Dads and Lads Project
NEYDL started life in 2015 with a simple brief: to find out what, if anything, could be done to support young fathers and dads-to-be living in the North East.
NEYDL started life in 2015 with a simple brief: to find out what, if anything, could be done to support young fathers and dads-to-be living in the North East.
Established in 2017, we are an award winning and nationally recognised young fathers charity that offers befriending, bespoke support & advocacy, training & education and peer supported group work activities to marginalised and disadvantaged young men, their children and families.
We seek to overturn the popular misconception that young men cannot be loving and responsible parents whilst ensuring that every young father (aged under 25) in our region has access to the right support and opportunities to play an active and meaningful role in the lives of their children, families and society.
